Ed Lin for President

I took a workshop with Ed at Asian American Writers Workshop back in 2003. His blog is hilarious.

Word Up Community Bookstore

My friend Vern created this community-run bookstore/community center in Washington Heights, NYC in response to the complete dearth of bookstores in upper Manhattan.

Subhankar Banerjee

My former publishing house Seven Stories Press is going to be publishing Subhankar’s anthology on climate change in the arctic.

Andri Magnason

One of my proudest achievements on my way out of SSP was signing up the English language rights to Andri’s amazing books The Story of the Blue Planet and LoveStar. The New York Times compared The Story of the Blue Planet to the best environmental children’s book of all time, Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax. LoveStar was recently nominated for the most prestigious scifi book awards, the Philip K. Dick Award.

Speaking of which…this is where I used to work. Seven Stories Press
